I would like to let the manager know what a wonderful experience my fiance' and i had at down east Toyota this weekend, when we bought our Toyota Matrix (Which by the way we LOVE)! Our salesman Jerry was a GREAT!!!! He was a huge help to us! People like Jerry are the reason we keep coming to Toyota! We also have a Toyota Tacoma as well! I’m just writing to let you know how impressed my wife and I are with Downeast Toyota! Ilya has already contacted me and the whole problem is being fixed. Craig (?), in Parts, said he may even have the jack and tool bag by tomorrow!
Being active duty Army for 23 years, my family and I lived in a lot of different places before coming back home to Maine and I can honestly tell you that it’s folks like Ilya, you, and Craig(?) in parts that have made coming home to live the best decision we ever made.
We currently have two Toyotas from you, but I can assure you that all of our future purchases will be with you folks as well!

In or about late May 2007 we purchased a used 2006 Toyota Prius at Downeast Toyota. That was our first encounter with the dealership.
My wife and I were raised in New Jersey and moved to Maine in 1993 to care for my wife's ailing parents. During our years in New Jersey and our years in Maine we have dealt with many car dealers. I think I can honestly state that I had never, until 2007, left a dealership feeling satisfied with the experience.
Dealing with Downeast Toyota has been like a breath of fresh air. When we went to look at the Prius, we were not pressured in any way. In fact, the treatment we received was as though we were family. We were treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. In fact, we find that our dealings with the Downeast Toyota service and parts departments is the same, warm, friendly service we received from sales. This is in contrast to the treatment we have received at so many dealerships over the years, where we would be pressured almost to the point of harassment. There have been a couple of occasions where I feel service has gone well beyond what was necessary to insure my satisfaction on a maintenance or repair. No other dealer has ever done that for us. These people genuinely care!
Our Prius is my wife's primary vehicle, although we both love it. It is a well built, well designed car. I think that Ed Darling has succeeded in creating a well built, well designed dealership. Our Toyota is a great car, Downeast Toyota is a great dealership.
Perhaps I shouldn't say this, because Toyota is a fine product, but Downeast Toyota seems built upon customer service, and customer satisfaction, as much as the Toyota brand.

I can't believe we made it in after all the set backs.
It was nice to see Ricky/Eric when we came through the door. I have known Ricky all my life. He used to run with my older brother. I must say you all do a great job. Buying the Tundra was a very pleasant experience.
As of now I plan on keeping the Jetta until late fall; so I will be back to pick up the Corolla in the fall. If anything changes on the Corolla incentives please let me know.
